Such a $hit Way To Stamp It!!!

Topps has been doing buybacks for years now.  My first Virdon Buybak was his 59 Topps card in 2008.  Then from 2014 to 2017 they went crazy with buybacks, not only were they in heritage but put them in a bunch if different products and then they starting giving them multiple different stamps even.  Through all those oddball buybacks I have almost every year but I had yet to see a 75.  This year Heritage was 75 so There was a 75 Virdon buyback to chase.  I assumed since there wasn't any 75s available from 2014 to 2017 if they made one in 2024 it was going to be scarce.  In 2013 I missed out on getting a 1964 Heritage buyback so when the 75 showed up on eBay I jumped on it.  I probably overpaid but I got it.  What a shit-show of a card it is.

I saw the scan when I bought it but I figured in had it would be a little better.  It's actually worse in hand.  You can't see Virdon at all.  On top of not seeing Virdon the dam stamp is turned sideways!  Even scanning it extra big you can't make out Bill Virdon in the picture.  It is definatly going to be onw that goes in the binder and I never look at it again.

Yeah, all the team card buybacks in Heritage this year are like that. Topps just picked a corner for buyback stamps and let the stamper do the rest. Not the best decision, but just one of many bad ones with Heritage this year.

Oof. Too bad Topps doesn't have enough "A-Team" personnel to make '24 Heritage as great as '24 flagship.
