Does this happen to you follow up.

Brian over at Play at the Plate was experiencing technical difficulties.  Many comments brought up other problems people have with Blogger.  I'm wondering if anyone has seen this happen.

See how the comments on his post are right on top of his post?  Only a few blogs do this to me PATP and Troll are two that I can think of.

Other times there are blogs that won't let me comment because there is no comment section to comment in.  It is just a big blank hole like this.

This is from Sportssyzygy (formally Offy) but many of the blogs out there do this.  I was going to just e-mail a screen print to Brian but I figured it would be better to show everyone out there.

I like to leave comments because I know that when you post and nobody comments it feels like no one is reading.  Either of these two problems keep me from commenting on other peoples posts.

I've never run into the first problem.

I have run into the second problem periodically, but I don't think I've been able to attribute it to a certain blog. It just seems to pop up out of nowhere.

Yeah, I have never run into the first problem, but have the second one before.
You aren't the only one who has mentioned trouble commenting on my blog, but I think it happens mainly when I have a contest and extra traffic. Perhaps when two people are commenting simaltaneously these probs arrive? Just grasping at straws here.
BTW got your package, thanks so much!

Troll - Brian over at PATP changed his blogger setting so that a new window pops up to make a comment. It fixed the blank screen problem but not the oddly placed comment part, which even more oddly doesn't always happen.

That's strange. Which browser are you using when that happens?

I use Internet Explorer. I'm going to guess it is some kind of firewall thing because it only happens at work.

It's 100% Internet Explorer. Workplaces use it because it makes it easier for them to firewall sites and track your internet usage. But as far as internet technology goes.. It has lots of problems supporting newer code that many sites use. Try loading any page you have problems with in Firefox, Safari, or Google Chrome and I'm willing to bet they load perfectly fine.

I would say most workplaces use IE because they are running Windows on their workstations and by keeping the browser limited to IE, it is one less thing the techs have to support. As a tech, I can totally understand this. I, on the other hand, allow my users to install any browser they want so long as they know I am not supporting it - they are on their own to play and explore.

I use IE at work and I've never seen that first issue pop up. It's a little disturbing to see my blog under all that mess. Kind of like seeing your baby in a car wreck. The second issue I have seen from time to time. I hope changing my comments format helps out on that front!

The issue I have is with certain Blogger comment windows that for some reason OpenID doesn't realize that I've ALREADY logged into WordPress, so take my stupid comment already! Happens here a lot.
