Ebay advice

I need a little advice.  I bought a lot of 9 card pages on ebay.  Here is the description.  I paid for the items on May 25th.  After I badgered them about not receiving my pages they shipped it out on the June 11th.  Upon receiving the box the contents were not as described.  The auction states that the primary brand was Ultra Pro but when I opened the box exactly 200 of the 1000 were Ultra Pro.  I contacted the seller and he has offered to give me $40 back and me keep the pages I got or refund the total amount and me ship it back.  The problem is they weigh a bunch and it will cost about $30 to ship back.  So my choices are:
Keep them which means 200 Ultra Pro pages for $70

or

Send them back and be out $30.

I'm leaning on sending back and getting screwed out of the $30.

Make the seller pay the return shipping. It's not your fault that the seller was misleading.

Take a look at USPS Priority flat rate shipping boxes. A large box is 12x12x5.5 and could do the trick. That would only run you about $14 on shipping, and if your main issue is weight and not size, you could possibly ship via a smaller box for less.

That at least gives you another option that might keep you from eating too much money.

Size ane weight are the problem. To put them all in a single box it has to be about 19x12x6. Or 2 Priority Flat Rate Boxes. So it would at least save me $2.

You buy your pocket pages by the case too!

Why not take the 1000 (and only 200 ultra pro) and the $40 partial refund?

Are you that partial to Ultra Pro or is it just because they said it was primarily Ultra Pro and then ended up not being that?

I'm partial to Ultra Pro. I have about 2000 pages already and they are 100% Ultra Pro.

Plus some of the pages that were sent are those old style semi hard plastic ones. The ones from before anyone knew that it mattered what kind of plastic was used to store cards.

I can't believe anyone sent you those kind of pages. Ultra Pro (and soft PVC-free) has been the standard for nearly 20 years now!

If you send them back, you're out $30. So, really, it's only an extra $40 for the 200 Ultra Pro. Keep the pages.

Plus, you're lucky he's giving you a deal. "primary brand" could mean more of those brands than any other brand. So, as long as there isn't more than 200 of another brand, the description would be true.

Play hard ball. Dude with 25k feedback wouldn't want a blemish on the record.

personally i would ask the seller to reimburse for shipping and if he didn't file the claim with ebay for item not described. either way good luck
