If you would have told me as a kid that I would covet the stiffener that someone received from the laundromat I would have thought you were crazy. Heck, I bet if you told the owners of said laundromat that their stiffeners would be highly sought after they would have thought you were crazy. But here we are in 2020 where craziness abounds. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhc6hx3s6JvBNDuUkF_07cSEqc_dVMUTehZ_c5jK63XbLDolkLpCJXJX_Uq1bVQ5CU8T1dQz7t6DCHrcMqY2b7OrWJwmt-ONpCgJEgi4F55stkLr7mtadxtT6zT6eZsT8noXGupdrBv4qGe/s2048/KDKA.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1480" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhc6hx3s6JvBNDuUkF_07cSEqc_dVMUTehZ_c5jK63XbLDolkLpCJXJX_Uq1bVQ5CU8T1dQz7t6DCHrcMqY2b7OrWJwmt-ONpCgJEgi4F55stkLr7mtadxtT6zT6eZsT8noXGupdrBv4qGe/w462-h640/KDKA.jpg" width="462" /></a></div><br /><p>That is a 1964 KDKA Pittsburgh Pirates Portrait of Bill Virdon. (90% of it anyway. It is bigger than my scanner's bed) These were advertisements for the Pirates Broadcasting partners but they were actually issued by Sweet Clean Laundry as stiffeners for men's shirts. Nowhere on the card does it mention the laundromat only KDKA, hence the name. My Standard says that these cards are 8"x11-7/8". Mine is a little bit off. Mine is right at 12" up and down but across it is 8" along the bottom but closer to 8-1/8" at the top.</p><p>I have known that this existed for close to 25 years but had never seen one. I have only seen a few of the KDKAs on ebay before but never the Virdon. As soon as I saw it I scooped it up. What I am going to do with it now is a different story. It is just the wrong size. 8x11 fits in a binder, 8x12 fits nowhere. It got shipped to me in a 12x15 top loader which is where it is going to stay for now. Maybe I'll frame it I don't know yet. That might work if I got it autographed. </p><p>So what's the next white whale? I don't know. A few of the Virdon's I do not have are unobtainable. I know were a few 1/1s are but the guy is a Pirates Collector and isn't going to get rid of them. Most of the rest of my Virdon "wants" are team issues that I can't identify. Heck I may already own them but can't find a resource that tells me the 75 Astros Team Issued Postcard looks like ____. </p><p><br /></p><p>I know that a 1961 Harmony Milk Virdon exists even though the SCBC says that it doesn't. Something that doesn't exist but does, that may be my next white whale.</p>AdamEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12107347958456472504noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8316392335605194330.post-2218381629632164462020-03-10T17:30:00.000-05:002020-03-10T17:30:06.706-05:00Joy of a Completed Team Set Year's Worth of Team SetsI have ignored new cards for quite a few years now. I don't mean just not buying them; I mean I paid zero attention. I don't think I could identify even Topps base cards between 2016 and 2019. All those other sets, no way. Heck except for the usual suspects like Bowman, Heritage, and A&G I don't even know what other cards were produced in those years. For the last 5 years or so I have focused my collection totally on Virdons and Vintage. Nothing else even made it on my radar. Since I started ignoring new stuff my Virdon and Vintage Red Sox have took off.<br />
<br />
After ignoring new cards for years I now know all the 2019 Red Sox cards because I have them. All of them. At least all of them that I want to say I collect.
How did I get them all? Well I did something I said I would never do. I bought them all in complete team sets. I have bought a few team sets over the years but never all of them. I know, sacrilege right? <br />
<br />
Here's the list of what I got:<br />
<br />
Topps Series 1, 2, & U/H<br />
Allen & Ginter<br />
Archives<br />
Big League<br />
Chrome & Chrome Update<br />
Finest<br />
Fire<br />
Gold Label<br />
Gypsy Queen<br />
Heritage<br />
Heritage Minors<br />
Museum Collection<br />
Opening Day<br />
<br />
<i>Bowman is out in the cold, I didn't understand all the Bowman sets when I was paying attention every year and I'm not going to go back and retroactively try to figure out 2019. Maybe I'll go back and add regular Bowman and Bowman Chrome but probably not.</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i><br /></i>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcYsizhMQ-H8_9y0nnJrJH1wk2uuxAxJZVisO1yU23F-EmhC0ZxNS79Ltx4OJehPSyyuBHtCjyHRY7f72ppasWAclX-dq-nQAEQFRYKU0dN_Z9zfpNZS9nKo2b2BeKMZALfHNnUAJyF3Aw/s1600/2019-.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcYsizhMQ-H8_9y0nnJrJH1wk2uuxAxJZVisO1yU23F-EmhC0ZxNS79Ltx4OJehPSyyuBHtCjyHRY7f72ppasWAclX-dq-nQAEQFRYKU0dN_Z9zfpNZS9nKo2b2BeKMZALfHNnUAJyF3Aw/s400/2019-.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<i><br /></i>
<i><br /></i>
For Topps, A&G, and Heritage I bought Master Team Sets. Which translates to: includes all the base cards, SPs, and "regular" inserts. You know the cheap inserts that are treated like regular base cards.<br />
<i><br /></i>
All of it cost me about $120. I know I couldn't have hand completed them all for $120 and I would have been chasing them for years. The cheapest I got was Big League. It was an 18 card set and it ran me a whopping 2.10 AFTER shipping.<br />
<br />
Heritage with all it's inserts and SPs cost me the most at $34. I know from previous years collecting Heritage it would cost me almost as much to build. Considering I haven't completed a Heritage Team set since it's inception it is safe to say this one would have hung around waiting to be completed for years and years. <br />
<br />
Stadium Club is hands down my favorite team set of the year. It is a good mix of new and old and the old are not images that I have seen over and over again.<br />
<br />

<br />
There was a 2 way tie for my favorite: Mookie and Fisk. That Fisk is a photo I haven't seen before.<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My least favorite card was the Boggs signing autographs. I give it props for being a new image but I don't like cards of players signing autographs. Yes I realize I am the only card blogger in history that doesn't like my cards to have players signing cards on them. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
I know that most bloggers, if not all, won't even consider collecting like this. I get it. I thought the same way too. But I have to admit this was great! How many team set builders know what it is like to wrap up a whole year worth of team sets? I now do and it's wonderful. Heck I will probably start working backwards and fill in other years I missed out on. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyI8pUxfY1LoJgHPTZYoinlsw7sWoY0c6KVIyajF7hDA2kw6TbTum0AKcBgVDW2z6cIYAqxmBLfvYH3RS8w8zHRxYP5o52oOviVcypJhmRLYbFfZbXS2uPOY3FqWXmsOfHpeNk0SrP7v-o/s1600/2019d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyI8pUxfY1LoJgHPTZYoinlsw7sWoY0c6KVIyajF7hDA2kw6TbTum0AKcBgVDW2z6cIYAqxmBLfvYH3RS8w8zHRxYP5o52oOviVcypJhmRLYbFfZbXS2uPOY3FqWXmsOfHpeNk0SrP7v-o/s400/2019d.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
But really the best part of knocking them out all at once is that I focused on vintage stuff for the whole year. I completed a truly epic team set this year. One of those bucket list team sets. I'll probably post it after I free some cards from their prisons. (If you read this Hoyle don't spoil it. I think your the only person that knew I was chasing it.)AdamEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12107347958456472504noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8316392335605194330.post-14665793292130230862019-12-16T12:58:00.001-06:002019-12-16T12:59:07.370-06:00Red Sox Circus<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A while back one of the guys that I consider one of the Original Card Bloggers, <a href="http://www.tribecards.net/">Indians Baseball Cards, Always</a>, had a sign up for people to grab unmailed teams the PAD Circus cards. I quickly grabbed up the Red Sox. I figured I would get a small box of cards but to my surprise what showed up was a 800 count box of cards. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It was great going through all these cards. They brought back many memories of David's Circus breaks. It was always fun reading through each pack break watching to see if one of "my guys" happened to show up and then trying to draft any Red Sox that I could.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It has been a long time since I did a post about cards from another blogger. I think have conquered <u>some</u> of my scanner problems so I chose a top 10 from Tribecards. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Ok, so the scanning isn't perfect yet. But man is it allot faster. I don't see many unlicensed cards. So while many people hate them I find them fascinating. Besides it isn't every day I get a card of one of the God Dust Twins that I do not already have. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a fun card. It reminds me of one of these comic cards from the early 90s crossed with Wacky Packs. </div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The one that got away. Everyone knows that the Red Sox traded away Bagwell in perhaps one of the most lopsided trades EVER. They got one month of service from a reliever named Larry Anderson for the Future Hall of Famer. I had a minor league Bagewell before this but this card was new to me. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am not really a Game Used collector but I do try to get one of each Red Sox player. I didn't have a Mooke GU until this showed up. There were a few other GU in the package but since Mookie hass my favorite current Sox player since Ortiz retired he gets the scan treatment. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Some might not consider this a card but it is card sized and made by Upper Deck so it is a card to me. For years Nomar was the Red Sox' best player and his cards were some of the most sought after cards in the hobby. All the cool insert sets had Nomar cards in them. Nomar has been out of the league since 2009 but people still hoard his insert cards. It is always nice to get one.</div>

I have a few 1969 Topps Super cards. This Ortiz made to look like them is nothing like the originals. Not only is it not super sized it is made from just regular card stock.<br />

Another unlicensed card. This one probably wouldn't even look unlicensed if I didn't know it. Papi just happens to be in the perfect pose for no logos to show up. Not only did I scan it crooked but the scanner doesn't do it justice at all. </div>

OK, so I cheated. This is more than 10 cards but come on round vintage cards from a set I didn't even know existed, how cold I not pick them. To be fair I only scanned a couple of the ones David sent. Two guys from the NESN booth. Remy used to be my favorite TV announcer but not anymore. Eck has taken over as my favorite announcer in the last couple years. </div>

Thanks for all the great cards David!!!</div>

(but it took a couple days) Usually when I leave a comment on a blog it is a way to long comment that nobody sees but the blog owner. So maybe I'll make this a habit and post all my comments here.<br />
<br />
So, yeah sorting is usually great. A fun thing where you get to look at and touch your cards and it is somehow even therapeutic as all the numbers start to line up and you fill blanks. However part of the sort can suck.<br />
<br />
I have a friend in MO that I used to get cards from all the time. If you got Bipped (if anybody even remembers Bipping) by me all those cards came from my buddy Joey. I live in AZ now and that all the time has now become a couple times a year he sends me a text that says "PayPal me $25". Soon I'll get a I'm always eager for that package but it comes with some suck too. Kind of like a disclaimer, you will enjoy this package but there is some headache involved. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu1qJq5k-z7Oo_Jw9qtjz1M7QnE_1bBSBDJ2GIp8WNusgMvYJCOSpUHrwf2wYTxjyHeO6e_G04ZCGwS594pbf0PhctF_-JSziCQNNc3FKySTVLuIMfzYlwBWWOYaVlCUgaOftWtzPa7A2k/s1600/Joey+Package1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu1qJq5k-z7Oo_Jw9qtjz1M7QnE_1bBSBDJ2GIp8WNusgMvYJCOSpUHrwf2wYTxjyHeO6e_G04ZCGwS594pbf0PhctF_-JSziCQNNc3FKySTVLuIMfzYlwBWWOYaVlCUgaOftWtzPa7A2k/s640/Joey+Package1.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Look at this package I got from Joey. I know the lighting sucks cause I'm no photographer but what you see is five team bags. Four of those team bags have some kind of Bowman card on top and all of them have some kind of Bowman inside. Bowman is that headache. I don't speak Bowman. Bowman and I don't get along at all. I'm not a rookie guy so I never bought the stuff to get to know it. All I know is when I have to sort them by year, the only way to tell them apart is that little tiny TM date (that is probably correct but every now and then is off by a year because Topps shovels new cards at us before a calendar flip). After you deal with the date then you have to decide if a card is a Bowman Chrome card or if it was a regular Bowman Chrome Insert card. Now usually a letters and numbers mixed together mean insert but evidently Bowman is different. There are Regular Bowman Prospect Inserts and then there is a whole other Bowmen Set called Bowman Prospects that uses letter number combos just like the insert set, not to mention they use the same pictures half the time. They tried to tell us that RC Logo was going to make things simple, HAHA!!! <br />
<br />
Sorting is fun, except for Bowman. Bowman makes sorting Suck!!AdamEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12107347958456472504noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8316392335605194330.post-48574055870711006012019-11-18T16:30:00.000-06:002019-11-18T16:30:15.784-06:00Now That Is Customer Service!!!!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I know my postman by first name. In this day and age I don't think this is a common thing anymore. It feels like something that old timers would talk about; "back in my day your postman knew you by name." Well my postman's name is Tom and he comes by the office every day to drop of the mail and say hi. We have a mailbox outside but he brings it inside every day instead of putting it in the outside box. It started because of my ball card packages. They were too big to fit in the tiny box the post office supplies so he would bring them in. Pretty soon he started bringing in the mail every day even when I didn't get a package. Every day he'd say hi we would offer him a drink of water. Maybe he was just doing to get out of the Arizona heat to for a few seconds of air conditioning but even so it felt above and beyond. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Well Tom had a health problem and had to take a few weeks off of work. No Tom meant a having a smorgasbord of postpeople dropping off my mail. Wouldn't you know it while Tom was off I bought something off of eBay that never showed up. The tracking showed it as delivered but I never got it. When I saw the post person come the next day I showed them the tracking and she just shrugged and said to take it to the main post office in the area and they would look into it. I was going to but I never actually got around to it. Around a week went by and Tom was back from his leave. He came in the office and greeted us all and exchanged pleasantries. We all said how nice it was that he was back and well again. In the process of telling him how much better he was than all of the guys/gals that they sent in his place I told him about my missing package.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The NEXT DAY he brought my missing package to me. It seems we are not the only place he actually stops and drops the mail at. He delivers all business mail in person so at each stop he asked if they anyone had received a package that wasn't theirs while he was out. In less than 24 hours he found my package that was missing for a week. All because he goes above and beyond delivering the mail. Thanks Tom!!</div>

Above is the contents of the missing package. It is a Pirates Team Issue from when Bill Virdon was Jim Leyland's Bench Coach in 1986. This is actually the only copy of this I have ever seen anywhere. Not only have I never seen it listed on eBay before I have never even seen the image before. </div>

The other day I showed that I bought something that I told myself I wouldn't when I posted that 1953 KC Blues Team picture. Well I did it again. I bought something I have been avoiding. An unlicensed 8x10. I have always limited myself to Team Issues and licensed 8x10s. (Like PhotoFile) However when I saw this one I decided I needed it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwvenIj2RPrbRy-R6KfgjlUD1_Dbvt5F-OKnjDUBMEZ_-Z2eb6ZC-B1EHsdAezllHyJEFaf5hmdVDePEBCTEz4bIV63xlgBKmvAxPpSPstnCqg_8Rb2X-LzgK85c2sNFzt7lEZQRkdkXfP/s1600/Virdon+8x10+Signing+Auto.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1229" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwvenIj2RPrbRy-R6KfgjlUD1_Dbvt5F-OKnjDUBMEZ_-Z2eb6ZC-B1EHsdAezllHyJEFaf5hmdVDePEBCTEz4bIV63xlgBKmvAxPpSPstnCqg_8Rb2X-LzgK85c2sNFzt7lEZQRkdkXfP/s640/Virdon+8x10+Signing+Auto.jpg" width="490" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've studied the photo in his hand and I can't figure out what card he is signing. It looks like on the card he is standing and it has a white sky as a background at the top. There is no Virdon card that I know of like it. The closest I can find to it are 62 Kahns, 64 Kahns, 80 TCMA, or 81 Fleer. (64 and 65 Topps also both have a white sky, but they look to far off.)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
His 81 Fleer checks off with the sky above him but it really looks like he is standing in photo above.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1964 Kahns checks off the standing and the sky in the background but the sky here looks blue not white like in the photo. Plus Kahns is oversized. </div>

1980 TCMA has the right sky view and I can see how if held far far away he might look standing but that gold border...</div>

1962 Kahns is the closest I can come up with. It has the cloudy sky and he is standing but the cards are oversized and it doesn't look oversized in the photo. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So what is he about to sign? Is it possible there is a regular sized card I don't know about? The photo is from 83 or 84 so surly it isn't something homemade.</div>

I am in no way talking about an emotional state. I am talking about my latest Virdon pickup. <br />

<br />
This is a team 8x10 from when Virdon played in the yankees farm system. He's in the top row, 3rd from the left glassesless. (if that is a word) It would be during the 1953 season that Manager Harry Craft would see Bill reading with glasses on and told him to start playing with them also. His batting Average jumped .100 points from 1953 to 1954. I guess it helps to see the ball better.<br />
<br />
I had always told myself I wan't going to chase stuff of his that was the whole team but these old minor league cards team issues are to great to pass up. I bet you can recognize a few other names on this roster because many of them went on to big league careers. Summer is busy for me. This year it was busier than ever. I took my wife and kids to Europe for vacation and some Women's Word Cup matches. 4 years ago we went to see the WWC in Canada, who knows maybe it going to be a tradition. Anyway we were gone for three weeks. Then my wife and I went on a "real" vacation to make up for the three week "vacation" we took with the kids. Our "real" vacation turned out to be horrible because we both were horrible sick the whole time. Anyway even through our vacations I kept up my daily search of eBay and I have a slew of things to post about now.<br />

You can tell that all these postcards were from the exact same photo shoot. It has the same light standard off to the left and the same zippered uniform on. Yep a zipper. I had no idea that jerseys used to have zippers instead of buttons, none. On top if that I have had these postcards for a long time and never noticed the zipper. These are 1910 E27 American Caramel Teddy's Trophies. It is a 30 card set featuring animals from Roosevelt's 1909 African Safari to procure specimens for the newly founded Smithsonian Institute. He did just that collecting 11,400 specimens. He later chronicled it in his book African Game Trails. (which one of these days I am going to buy a copy of.)<br />

Not all the cards are horizontal a handful of them are vertical. You can hardly tell from the scans but these cards are surrounded by both a white and gold border. The gold border really stands out in hand. It is almost like it is gold leaf instead of regular print. <br />
<br />
It is a cool little set that I am about halfway through with. I could probably go all out and finish the set tomorrow via eBay but instead I slowly pick them up when I see them for a good price. I know just as little about the Strat cards as I do the APBA cards. The main thing I have learned about them is there are an awful lot of different ones. Even though there are allot if scans this isn't going to be a pretty post. Strat-O-Matic cards are the very ugliest of cards. <br />
<br />
The best that I can tell there are 3 main types of Strat cards.<br />
<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>Original - Printed in whatever year that say. These are blank backed and have a slightly thicker card stock. </li>
<li>Recreated - These have the same fronts but in addition they have a whole other set of things on the back.</li>
<li>Super Advanced - How anyone calls these super advanced is beyond me. Yeah they have a little bit more color and the stats are a little different but Super Advanced they are not. </li>
</ol>
<div>
On top of those three main types there are a few variations. The ones I have seen are color and cut but who knows if there are more. Moving on to scans.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha1GuUN0T62IOOg8Au5sznGoSyp5N_rkIyf4yAlG-fWBYevLg-iKQfgAI8ww5eN3TB9ftDeGwF081-A2tpUUo_vKWS22K8j8LU4I2QWk4nrOCHTxa3zc6xzIxsbeCkuQic_Bt460mrxtGn/s1600/55+Strat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="910" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha1GuUN0T62IOOg8Au5sznGoSyp5N_rkIyf4yAlG-fWBYevLg-iKQfgAI8ww5eN3TB9ftDeGwF081-A2tpUUo_vKWS22K8j8LU4I2QWk4nrOCHTxa3zc6xzIxsbeCkuQic_Bt460mrxtGn/s320/55+Strat.jpg" width="181" /></a></div>
<br />
Starting at the beginning of Virdon's career this 55 Strat is of the Super Advanced variety. All of the Super Advanced have the first stat at the bottom as AVG. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr4svvunG2bAhi50Hd3Y1ElH_GwSoGMAt-_1olmmo4qXksYorFUhAwkvcP6uCaXe9dZjlcmIYNMsj_2DEhob04Gj0N5AJY6bSAgp8yX6Q_pifIUV9P0X3j69EYIlV5mRSMbGdkg4t5ReZO/s1600/55+Strat+Back.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="825" data-original-width="1465" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr4svvunG2bAhi50Hd3Y1ElH_GwSoGMAt-_1olmmo4qXksYorFUhAwkvcP6uCaXe9dZjlcmIYNMsj_2DEhob04Gj0N5AJY6bSAgp8yX6Q_pifIUV9P0X3j69EYIlV5mRSMbGdkg4t5ReZO/s320/55+Strat+Back.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
All the colors on the back are also a sign it isn't original.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRcS_9t-B3H_uoMiwtcZ31FHI0Q5Iv7e_wJwhA2Gl1QkV0DPb6iaI-HraOqecG8zhTImSNH0lFpL0YydSCM_z_ftXXVL-s9hvr1qIAZILaZDCgLFwqDga8Hpa-C29e4HBvftxTYSN-FwDc/s1600/56+Strat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1392" data-original-width="1600" height="276" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRcS_9t-B3H_uoMiwtcZ31FHI0Q5Iv7e_wJwhA2Gl1QkV0DPb6iaI-HraOqecG8zhTImSNH0lFpL0YydSCM_z_ftXXVL-s9hvr1qIAZILaZDCgLFwqDga8Hpa-C29e4HBvftxTYSN-FwDc/s320/56+Strat.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you compare the fronts of these 1956 Strats to the 1955 you will notice the first stat at the bottom is AT BATS. That means that they are not Super Advanced. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyvLXwtKHvmnnfQGTuLka9yIQ2S-ubk-vuIBLQB-eh-z0Gn_uHYCkeyGxfszJ1zIcwvgsPnMUZNKezF034rDpn-Z-bpKQ6EPqmwlYAoEDAyWRAEO74Dnnr-qe8o2UE-0iNSQdIgcFkTAEd/s1600/56+Strat+Back.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1386" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyvLXwtKHvmnnfQGTuLka9yIQ2S-ubk-vuIBLQB-eh-z0Gn_uHYCkeyGxfszJ1zIcwvgsPnMUZNKezF034rDpn-Z-bpKQ6EPqmwlYAoEDAyWRAEO74Dnnr-qe8o2UE-0iNSQdIgcFkTAEd/s320/56+Strat+Back.jpg" width="276" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Since there is stuff on the back these are also not original. They are however two different variations of recreated Strats because the colors are reversed between the two of them. Maybe this could tell a more knowledgeable person what year they are from or maybe not.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

Here is a side by side comparison of the regular next to a Super Advanced. The 1960 on the left is the first Original Strat-O-Matic card I have shown. It however is a Red Ink Variable which I am told is less common. Or at least that is what the eBay auction said.</div>

Even the scan of the back looks exactly the same. What you can't see in the scan however is that the edge of the cards have little nipples from where they were attached together in a sheet. The edge of one of these has no nipples. It was printed individually instead of a sheet that one had to tear apart. </div>

I have a Fantasy Baseball Team but I have never played any of the baseball games like APBA Baseball, Strat-O-Matic, or anything like that. That doesn't mean that I don't pick up the cards when I can. <br />

I just recently picked up some 1989 APBA Baseball Senior Circuit cards. Now I have no idea how to play APBA or really anything about the cards or even what years they made cards however I pick up the Virdons when I see them. </div>

Does he have good stats? The game looks confusing to me. I saw the worksheets to play this before and it was enough to scare me off. <br />

I picked up these three team sets off ebay for hardly anything. I bought then just for this one card. If anyone wants the other cards let me know.AdamEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12107347958456472504noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8316392335605194330.post-26235967568893307772019-05-14T15:05:00.000-05:002019-05-16T12:13:33.555-05:00He Played There TooA month or so ago I posted an 8x10 of Virdon in a Mets uniform and the consensus was nobody else knew he spent time there as a coach. Well I think everyone knows he was a yankees coach for a time but probably most didn't know he came up through the yankees system.<br />
<br />
Virdon went to college in Springfield, MO which is only about a half hour from Branson, MO where the yankees held open tryouts back in the 50s. (though in 1950 it probably took longer than half an hour. I'm sure there was no 4 lane highway running between the two back then) He signed with the yankees for 1,800 to play in the Kansas/Oklahoma/Missouri league.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEum5paqRzfRrTOl_idJCmobc7K0VHV9T0RKpHXrS9VuW0_yGZ-UENBAbrtSXo4pCuPgXWDJOR2vZrhv4u13oLys6LQHLViscUUSZXm1FBJEVbBoUKwh71jlzJw2Wd3_d6D-N2We8yZt0l/s1600/Virdon+yankees+8x10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1297" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEum5paqRzfRrTOl_idJCmobc7K0VHV9T0RKpHXrS9VuW0_yGZ-UENBAbrtSXo4pCuPgXWDJOR2vZrhv4u13oLys6LQHLViscUUSZXm1FBJEVbBoUKwh71jlzJw2Wd3_d6D-N2We8yZt0l/s640/Virdon+yankees+8x10.jpg" width="518" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm not 100% sure when this photo was taken but he started wearing his glasses to play in 1953 so it has to be from either 53 or spring training 54. He batted .233 for a season without them in AAA and the next year he batted .333 with them.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
He tells a funny story about his last spring training with the yankees.<br />
<span style="background-color: blue;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was working in the outfield, catching fly balls, making throws, showing off, trying to impress somebody," Virdon said. "We had a relay guy, I'd come in throwing. Somewhere, Mr. Stengel got between me and the relay guy. I hit him right in the back and knocked him on his ass. When I saw what I'd done, I turned to get in among the other outfielders. They are all laying on the ground pointing at me, like 'He did it, he did it.'</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: "georgia" , "arial";"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
He got traded to the Cardinals two weeks later for Enos Slaughter. Though it probably had more to do with being blocked by Micky Mantle than hitting Casey Stengel with a ball.</div>

I found a Virdon Team Issue buried in an Astros Photo Lot.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">1981 5x6 Virdon</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Handwritten on the back is 1981. Even though I can't find reference to a Team Issued cards issued in 1981. That's what I'm going to go with.<br />
<br />
Along with Virdon I got 16 other Astros Team Issues and photos.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">1967 Arnold Umbach</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Check out the specs on Arnold. Can you imagine a current player having to tape his glasses and pose for a picture ontop of that. Yeah, not going to happen. This 8x10 has 1967 handwritten on the back.<br />
<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

Another 8x10 with 1967 handwritten on the back, this time of Manager Grady Hatton.<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">1995 Complete Team</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
The Astros did these 8x10s with 8 players/managers for multiple years. The only reason I know that is because I have one with Virdon on it from when he was the bench coach in 1997.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
A couple more 5x6s of guys I don't even know. Woodeshick is hand dated March 1965 and Harrison is dates March 1966.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Another Grady Hatton this time in 5x6 from. No hand written date on the back this time. Instead typed on the back is:<br />
<br />
Hatton, Grady 5-2-1973<br />
Baseball Coach<br />
<br />
That is the layout of the typing too. Never before have I seen a Team Issue with anything printed on the back.<br />

This is the only 1986 anything in the bunch. It is in 8x10 form.<br />

<br />
<br />
The picture on the left has Sonny Jackson 1967 on the back and the right has Alonzo Harris OF 1967 on the back.<br />
<br />
The Alonzo is strange.*** I can't see that he ever got a big league at bat. At least I can't find it on Baseball-Reference. But he did get a Topps RC card in 1967. That seems out of place as back then Topps usually didn't give anyone a card until their sophomore season.<br />
<br />
***EDIT: Mystery solved, sort of. Alonzo Harris is listed as Candy Harris (for no known reason) He even has a Wikipedia page as Candy Harris that lists his name as Alonzo. He made it to the Astros roster at 19 and played a part of one season where he got one at bat and was a pitch runner 5 times before his season and career was ended due to military service.AdamEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12107347958456472504noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8316392335605194330.post-53854004583232861092019-04-30T15:35:00.002-05:002019-04-30T15:37:31.993-05:00Mailbox Shock<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I love going to the mailbox and getting a shock. <i>unless it is a bill </i>Card shock is always great. I recently got one of those shocks. I was warned that some cards were coming but I didn't expect an 800 count box full of Red Sox. Here is a tiny portion of what I got.</div>

<li>Yes, I still need 1993 Bowman cards. I was only collecting football in 93 so the want list is extensive.</li>
<li>Cyborg Mo - Hard to see but he has a metal arm and leg.</li>
<li>A rookie Nomar</li>
<li>Hard to see in the scan but that is a Donruss Press Proof Mo Vaughn. The first one I have ever had.</li>
<li>Wakefield is in back in the rotation and I now have a blue parallel Wake.</li>
<li>Of all the painted sets ever made 2003 Playoff Portraits may be the very best ever. </li>

Upper Deck Timeless Teams are kick ass. Somehow I missed that set but I am always glad to find some. The big checklist means I wall be chasing them for years. I received 7 in this box so to fill the scan here are 2 Nomars.<br />

The floodgates were opened with Nomar cards as you could see in past posts. Now I hope the Pedro floodgates open. If they do this package will be the start of it. I think if I decided to bite off player collecting again I would probably choose Pedro. The best pitcher that I have ever seen and he has a ton of great cards.<br />

<br />
No the shininess of this Gonzalez Refractor didn't blind me. I went to the eye doctor this week; he more or less said, dam your getting old! But this isn't about my eye doctor visit either. I see less clear than before but I am not going blind. The post title is about a <a href="https://www.sportlots.com/">Sportlots</a> purchase I made.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHhrcTnBfEwRDer-oEwpxGOVPMvqUr-vXkDmRU0Z3uuAOCI-0l5845UY-g9uK6VN5m8aUkv7xTbSIiwjEJpC8KqJ_3Cv3ZC2E2A3KpRsrRMiBVTcnzNSaA4NVsQPNlaevmFkSnYIDWTj9Z/s1600/Clay.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1136" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHhrcTnBfEwRDer-oEwpxGOVPMvqUr-vXkDmRU0Z3uuAOCI-0l5845UY-g9uK6VN5m8aUkv7xTbSIiwjEJpC8KqJ_3Cv3ZC2E2A3KpRsrRMiBVTcnzNSaA4NVsQPNlaevmFkSnYIDWTj9Z/s320/Clay.jpg" width="227" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
In a way all your Sportlots purchases are made blind because you never see a scan of the card you are buying. But I am not quite talking about that either. I purchased some cards on Sportlots from Mkoates5. They showed up a few days later with a letter. (that I wish I saved to scan) The letter said something along the lines of "Thanks for purchasing from me. I notice you ordered only Red Sox. I have allot more Red Sox available." and gave me his email address.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSnS0cnGSd6jWeXODFfgmDw_xR0sVf91l4aMwAQKZSRvoFwTKsHtxoOvVA3gWwqU2yFI3EtXR-5ApuUm2Oet7Ez5xmTy5abuCz2lL03LntVv4MGvWDCA-6SmK9mQoQ9_ozTNIIfIemyg_P/s1600/Lynn.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1137" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSnS0cnGSd6jWeXODFfgmDw_xR0sVf91l4aMwAQKZSRvoFwTKsHtxoOvVA3gWwqU2yFI3EtXR-5ApuUm2Oet7Ez5xmTy5abuCz2lL03LntVv4MGvWDCA-6SmK9mQoQ9_ozTNIIfIemyg_P/s320/Lynn.jpg" width="227" /></a></div>
<br />
So I contacted him and he offered to go through my want list and pull anything on it he had and he would sell them for .15 each regardless of if it was an insert, parallel, or whatever. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0ZwsIT_CfhNJeMYcUmqLp3XWeakgsWV9pb8x7UwbWFJdVDMhW3_Y9WSl1mHC5eop0YcsI-gw6c_255fEJFvyHPls8PuM7NNX7sKPYPrXBnBaYsGP5xoYs2Wkodl662ik1bRZrLaGr9e07/s1600/Mini+Manny.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1156" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0ZwsIT_CfhNJeMYcUmqLp3XWeakgsWV9pb8x7UwbWFJdVDMhW3_Y9WSl1mHC5eop0YcsI-gw6c_255fEJFvyHPls8PuM7NNX7sKPYPrXBnBaYsGP5xoYs2Wkodl662ik1bRZrLaGr9e07/s320/Mini+Manny.jpg" width="231" /></a></div>

I figured .15 a card with zero doubles and I don't even have to look through the inventory to find them, YES PLEASE!!<br />

New cards just don't hold my interest. <br />
<br />
My favorite set all time is 1948 Leaf. (I call it 48 Leaf though the Standard says it is 49 Leaf) If I ever won the lottery I would build complete 48 Leaf Baseball, Football, Boxing, and Pirates sets. <i>Yes, there is a Leaf Pirates set. It isn't Pittsburgh Pirates it's guys like Captain Kidd, Cisco and tons of guys you have never heard of. </i><br />
<br />
Since I'm not winning the lottery any time soon I decided to at least build the Red Sox team set. But even that is an expensive undertaking. The set it littered with Short Print cards and many of them happen to be Red Sox. So I always seek them out on eBay but since they go for hundreds each I just keep watching and waiting. <br />
<br />
Every now and then patience and persistence pays off and I get lucky. Usually the SP cards go for hundreds of dollars even when they are in horrible shape. But they go for considerably less when the get listed as 1948 Laef instead of 1948 Leaf. Yes whoever listed this misspelled it and I got it for a steal. <br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">1948 Leaf Matthew Batts</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Matthew Batts is one of the dreaded SP cards. This one is offcenter, offcut, and has some paperloss but it cost me less than a tank of gas. Actually it was closer to a half tank of gas. That is a steal!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLWiK8HMNZMLvyYN-Wxyj52MTAYjRt90k7qymVtk9Z-HyoMQRyJWQctPF30UgGPTBzOvqhZsVUpfGijOmnul7CGNEcNUI-szxkiPUTMw6QD8s4-rkglpz6e1hYUuCyX4vyo4dki7X5cKqW/s1600/Batts+Back.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1209" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLWiK8HMNZMLvyYN-Wxyj52MTAYjRt90k7qymVtk9Z-HyoMQRyJWQctPF30UgGPTBzOvqhZsVUpfGijOmnul7CGNEcNUI-szxkiPUTMw6QD8s4-rkglpz6e1hYUuCyX4vyo4dki7X5cKqW/s320/Batts+Back.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>
<br />
I am down to needing two more cards to complete my team set. I still need Johnny Pesky (RC) and Billy Goodman, both are SPs. I know I won't get them for a song, like the Batts, but eventually one will be cheap enough for me to snag and when it does, I'll be waiting.AdamEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12107347958456472504noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8316392335605194330.post-75301233261029490512019-04-24T08:00:00.000-05:002019-04-24T08:00:01.296-05:00Mailing<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This isn't a post about someone sending me cards. This is about some mail that got sent 20 years before I was born. One year after winning the NL Rookie of the Year Bill Virdon started coaching on the side. It was probably a good start since it was something he did for over 30 years after his playing days were through. </div>

How cool is that return address? A full photo on the front of the envelope.</div>

Inside is a letter on legal paper. Man were the times different. The camp, plus room and board are only $165 for 4 WEEKS! My daughter's <u>1 week</u> soccer camp last year was $650.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Kudos to Mr. Formuff for preserving this envelope and letter so well. It is a cool little addition to my Virdon Collection. </div>

This is a newspaper clipping from 1984. I don't have a ruler handy to measure it but this thing is pretty darn big. Folded in half it is almost (but not quite) takes up a whole 8x10 page. It doesn't have a date on it anywhere but it does have results from the 1984 Olympics. (all in French)</div>

I mean I could post about my GIANT Spotlots purchase but that requires WAY to much scanning. 8x10s are s much easier. <br />

I didn't realize just how many over-sized Virdons I had stashed here and there. The old binder looks much the same as it did before but now I have a whole other binder to go with it. <br />

This is the cost of being unorganized. That is three 58 Jays Publishing, two 1962 Sports Service, and two different Rowe/Brace postcards that are all doubles. To make it worse I had the 58 Jays and 62 Sports Service on my eBay watch list again. I saved myself from more purchases at least.<br />

This is another cost of chasing team issues. Sometimes you have to buy the whole team, or some kind of lot, to get the one card you want. At least I know who to send the Cardinals too. AdamEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12107347958456472504noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8316392335605194330.post-29853678534402221652019-04-18T11:52:00.003-05:002019-04-18T11:52:39.744-05:00Updating The Virdon BinderI store all my Virdons in a single 6" binder. It is bursting at the seems and has been for more than a year. I probably have 40-60 or Virdons that need put away but it just doesn't have the room.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwZsimLybgzVfK16EsdvoJG80i1NnxPTcgTsKUFGWJtKjoroMCmJVkhYURb7yjYnIYw-NRjez7UjBlHqVPm3wZ0jJqpe3EwtdPLsCpWnevshhN4I-LEaJmcXoaloWh2FJ7VD7RBanrYwO0/s1600/20190418_092122.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwZsimLybgzVfK16EsdvoJG80i1NnxPTcgTsKUFGWJtKjoroMCmJVkhYURb7yjYnIYw-NRjez7UjBlHqVPm3wZ0jJqpe3EwtdPLsCpWnevshhN4I-LEaJmcXoaloWh2FJ7VD7RBanrYwO0/s640/20190418_092122.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Right now they are all in there by issue date (or as close to it as a can figure with team issues) but that tends to be a problem with any over-sized card because they take a different size page. So I have decided to start a second binder and I'll keep all my regular size Virdons in one binder and anything that is over-sized in another. For the over-sized binder I am going to sort by team then size. So all the Cardinal Virdons together 4x6, 5x7, 8x10 and everything else in between then Pirates, Mets, Astros, and finally Expos. I have to look at the over-sized cards all the time to figure out if I already have one I find and having them in team order will help since I never know what year a team issued coach card might be.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I didn't know Topps had mail in team cards from 1975 to 1981. Well I chipped another one off the list. <br />
<br />

<br />
I didn't really want a graded card but except for an uncut sheet it is all I have been able to find. I almost just bought the sheet but the graded card was cheaper that the uncut sheet.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
Now I am down to only needing the 1976 Mail In. All of the other ones had multiples for me to choose from on eBay but not the 76. There is none on eBay, COMC, Sportlots, or Beckett Marketplace. So I patiently wait. One day it will show up somewhere and when it does...<br />

<br />
This looks like a In Person or TTM auto but actually this is a auto insert from 1996 Ringside. <br />

<br />
<br />
Ringside did it a little different than most other companies. Instead of a little blurb on the back about how you received an on card auto... they embossed the cards with a seal. It is hard to see in the scan but if you look at his boxing gloves (front scan) you can faintly see the embossment. On the back you can faintly see it on the white box below his ring record. It says 'Spotlight Signature Gold in the embossment. <br />
<br />
This is my fourth Spotlight Signature card. I also have Carmon Basilio, Vinny Pazienza, and Willie Pep. I can't find a list of all of them all anywhere so I don't know how many more might be out there. The Basilio I actually pulled from a pack. The rest came via eBay.
